WHAT IS THE FRONTLINES TRILOGY?
The Frontlines Trilogy is the Danny Phantom fanfiction trilogy comprising of these three books: Frontlines, Desecration, and Insurrection. It can be found on FanFiction.net. I am currently working on book 2, Desecration.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Frontlines Trilogy is the story of how Danny Fenton becomes the leader of a team of teenage rebels known as the Freedom Fighters in a war against the sadistic tyrant mayor, Carpathan. Along the way they face death, starvation, and loss, but hold on to the hope that there is victory in the distant future. Danny himself faces inner turmoil as he deals with his own misgivings about his being the leader of a team which he feels he is letting down.
SOUNDS ANGSTY.
That it is, but Frontlines and its related books aren't all angst and no action. There's fighting, lots of fighting. Also mixed in is friendship, building of trust, love, character development, some humor, and eventually the fall of a government--- but I wouldn't want to give away too many spoilers.
RATING?
Frontlines and all related books are rated T. Not recommended for those who can't handle blood and death. However, though it's violent, there's no extreme gore such as viscera, hearts ripped out, eyeballs popping out--- It's free of that kind of stuff.
Another upside to it is that I keep the trilogy free of swearing apart from mentions of such, for example, "He swore under his breath". I will never actually use swearing, sort of to prove that a good action story doesn't need cursing to make it good. :3
This story is also free of sexual activity. It also does not need THAT to make it good. Personally, I think that would ruin it for a lot of readers. Nope. There's not even lip-kissing. If it had the really gross stuff, it would be M. But I don't write rated M material.

WHAT INSPIRED THE STORY?
I was sitting in my room one night listening to the song "Frontline" by Pillar on repeat. I was drawing Danny and then the two just merged in a drawing of a scarred-up Danny with a red headband around his forehead. Basically, the trilogy is one big, overgrown songfic based on a drawing XD
When I listen to the song now, every line of the song hints to a part somewhere in the trilogy. Even stranger is the fact that each part of the song progresses chronologically with each book. Verse one and first chorus with Frontlines, verse 2 and 2nd chorus with Desecration, bridge and final chorus with Insurrection.

FUN FACTS:
>The original order of the books had the story of Desecration being the first book--- and being called Frontlines as a standalone!
>Once a trilogy, the books were named Frontlines, Resounding Desecration, and Blackened Insurrection. To stay with a one-worded structure, however, the other two titles became just one word.
> Also, the original order of the book titles, while being the same plot, was Desecration, Frontlines, Insurrection. But I wasn't too keen on calling it the Desecration Trilogy! Frontlines fit the purpose of the first book much better than Desecration did, anyway. Desecration suits its story much better than Frontlines.
> I wrote more in Desecration for the first time in months! COME ON, BABY!

THE TRILOGY
Here are the title images for each book in the trilogy and a short summary for each that will be on the FanFiction.net summary once published!
FRONTLINES
STARTED: August 2012 FINISHED: September 2013/ May 2014
FRONTLINES: Danny Fenton was just an average kid at an average school, with a not-so-average family. But when the newly elected mayor arrests his parents for no reason, this average 14-year-old will have to take action and fight back, like the hero he was destined to become. Contains character death...and some angst. AU.
DESECRATION
STARTED: September 2013 FINISHED: TBA
INSURRECTION
STARTED: TBA 2014 (?) FINISHED: TBA 2015 (?)
